2021 Angaston Merlot - Barossa Valley SA

Merlot is a funny one. It's decidely out of fashion and can honestly be pretty garbage BUT there's some pretty tasty Aussie Merlots out there. Here's one. 

Bold, plush and savoury, there's plenty of fruit but not overwhelmingly so. Round, medium-bodied and rather robust, there's plenty to like her plus it's old vine, single vineyard Barossa Merlot, for $23. Solid gold.
