2021 Pyren Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - Pyrenees 

We're big fans but also friends with the folks behind Pyren Vineyard. Founded by brothers Brian and Kevyn Joy in the late 90's and now helmed by their respective sons Leighton and Andrew, their wines are stunning examples of Pyrenees elegance and showcase their quartz laden soils. This new vintage of the Reserve Cabernet is a next level wine and a big step for the Joys.  A small parcel of their best, older vine fruit is gently handled before being aged in quality old oak. Aromatic, structured, savoury and extremely finessed, deep and dark but medium bodied with long rounded tannins. This is an exceptional Cabernet for the region and one of Pyren's best ever.
