With the Saison label, Dave Verhuel of Embla fame is elevating Australian vermouth in a way not seen since Maidenii hit the market. For this vintage of Flowers, think fresh jasmine, elderflower, white rose and chrysanthemum blossoms all either wild picked or organically farmed then an infusion of white peaches grown on the outskirts of Melbourne is added. All blended into Victorian moscato and frontignac base wines, bittered with fresh wormwood and aged in stainless. Complex, bright, floral and moreish, sip on ice or with a dash of soda, a genuine mood lifter.
