2021 Brash Higgins SHZ - McLaren Vale, SA

From American sommelier turned Australian winemaker Brad Hickey comes this absolute belter of a Shiraz. Stunning fruit from Brad's organic Omensetter vineyard is on show here, wild fermented, basket pressed then aged in a mix of old and new French barrels for 20 months. 

This is powerfully elegant stuff. Deep, dark and plush, with plenty of blue fruit and spice framed up by solid tannins that need a little bit of a chew but not a knife and fork. This will age bloody well but looks impeccable right now.
