2023 Refosco - Mildura

A dark skinned grape native to north east Italy, Refosco is known for making deep and powerful wines. This gem from Kathleen Quealy and Kev McCarthy's MDI project lightens things up ever so slightly but still gives us a rich, ripe and fruit forward take that is filled with darkness and long tannins. A great substitute for a Cabernet or Shiraz.
