2021 Heart of Stone Syrah - Faraday, VIC

A butcher by trade, Micah made the move to wine a few vintages back and is going from strength to strength. His focus is good fruit, minimal intervention and no additions including sulphur. 

For this wine Syrah grown on the mineral rich decomposed granite soils of Faraday sees wild ferment, 20% whole bunch (7 day carbonic maceration) 80% whole berry and elevage in seasoned oak for 12 months.

This is a lighter Syrah, delicate and pretty with interesting aromatics and fine structure. It's supple, savoury and earthy with some stunning length to it. Truly a pretty wine.
