2021 “Rolle” Vermentino - Gullyview Vineyard, Clare Valley

While Vermentino is often fresh, fun, and a bit of a throwaway, the Koerner brothers are pushing the varietal a bit further and have created quite a serious wine. Fermented and aged in old Slavonian oak with just a dash of skin contact, this is wonderfully textured yet fresh. It’s juicy and super bright with clean acidity and a dash of salinity. 

Very refined, very interesting and probably Australia’s best Vermentino.
