2022 Estate Chardonnay - Macedon Ranges VIC

From a small 4ha vineyard in Lancefield, Oliver Rapson and Renata Morello are making exceptional cool climate, European-leaning wines. With just 98 cases made, their single site Chardonnay is barrel-fermented with wild yeast and 50% whole bunch before ageing in French oak (20% new) for 9 months resulting is an elegant, proper Chardonnay. There’s structure, richness and generosity to this wine alongside a bounty of finesse. It’s supple and delicately creamy with a subtle dash of acidity to keep things refreshing.
