2022 Estate Gamay - Macedon Ranges VIC

From a small 4ha vineyard in Lancefield, Oliver Rapson and Renata Morello are making exceptional cool climate, European-leaning wines. 

50% carbonic and 50% whole bunch with 4 weeks on skins and 9 months in old oak. Super savoury on the nose with a little smoke, dried meat and cherry all in the mix. In the mouth it’s delicate and lifted with bright red fruit and subtle, drying tannins. 

This a great example of what Australian Gamay can do.
