2023 Thorley Chardonnay - Beechworth

Absolutely impeccable Chardonnay from two of our favourite people in Beechworth Tessa Brown and Jeremey Schmolzer.

Fermented wild with partial solids and full malo followed by ten months in oak (30% new) and five months in tank for balance and finesse. From the cool upper slopes of Beechworth, it’s bright and focused, with citrus, white peach and nectarine layered with hints of honeysuckle and fine spice. A subtle line of granitic minerality runs through the palate, giving shape to its creamy texture and gentle nutty finish. Elegant now, and set to shine even more with time in bottle. Love this!
