2021 Chardonnay - Macedon Ranges VIC
Ben Ranken and his family having been tending to the vines at Wilimee since 2013 but the vines date back decades before their ownership. With Chardonnay planted in 1982, they've got some of the oldest vines in the region and with Cambrian soils underfoot they have some of the oldest dirt in the region.
This is stunning cool climate Chardonnay and up there with the best coming out of the Macedon Ranges. Refined, elegant and complex, the oak is there but it's just the right amount. It's long, textured and full-bodied with fine acidity to keep things fresh.
A super Chardonnay.
